Initial Evaluation

New physical therapy clients will start with an initial evaluation. This is a comprehensive evaluation performed 1:1 with a licensed PT. This session will include evaluation, treatment, along with home exercise and self-management recommendations. Your therapist will work with you to understand your goals and help develop the best plan of care.

Please log in to your Wellness Living account before your initial visit. Filling out your health history form ahead of time allows us to spend all of our time face-to-face.

Follow-up visits may be recommended and typically are 60 minutes in length.

PT Evaluation - $175

*For clients with multiple areas of pain, medical complexity, or more chronic issues we may recommend an extended 90 minute evaluation. Please give us a call to discuss your specifics if you think this might benefit you and we can work together to make sure your concerns can all be addressed.

Follow-up Physical Therapy

All follow-up visits are 1:1 with your physical therapist.  Sessions may include manual therapy, trigger point dry needling, joint mobilization or manipulation, exercise, home exercise modifications and education. Treatment will be based on your needs and will progress as your body responds.

You and your therapist will work together to determine the best appointment length for you.

We find most issues can be treated in 4-6 visits

Physical Therapy FAQs

  • As Physical Therapists in the state of Colorado, we do not need a referral from a medical doctor in order to evaluate or treat you. It is always a good idea to check with your specific insurance plan to verify your coverage. If, at any point during your treatment, we determine a referral to another medical professional is needed, we will gladly make that referral.

  • Yes. Most of the time you can use your HSA/FSA account to pay for out-of-network PT services and Pilates. Please check with the specifics of your plan to understand if you need a referral from your MD in order for these visits to be covered. If you plan to submit for reimbursement, please let us know ahead of time so we can ensure we can provide the proper documentation.

  • We have decided to not participate as in-network providers for any insurance companies at this time. This decision allows us to provide the highest quality of care without arbitrary restrictions frequently imposed by insurers. We are able to spend all of our time providing excellent care 1:1 every visit and not hassling with insurance companies. However, we are happy to provide you with the documentation you need to submit your claim for reimbursement. Check with your plan to better understand your out of network benefit. We recognize this may limit the ability for some to participate. Please reach out to our office directly as a sliding scale is available for those who qualify.
***MEDICARE: IF YOU ARE INSURED BY MEDICARE, PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO SEE YOU FOR ANY PHYSICAL THERAPY SERVICES. AT THIS TIME.***

  • We are happy to provide you with the documentation you need to submit your claim for reimbursement. Check with your plan to better understand your out of network benefit and what they need. If you are planning to submit your superbill for reimbursement you need to let us know at your INITIAL EVALUATION so we can make sure to have everything in place to give you with what you need. We provide superbills at the end of each month.

  • We are here to help you make the most out of your time here. You should expect to have the same therapist each visit unless you and your provider decide a consult or a change might be best. We work 1:1 and do not use any assistants or aides so you will have the full, undivided attention of your therapist for the entirety of your session.

  • Change does take time but if you are in pain we expect you to be feeling some positive changes in 4-6 visits. It is our job as your therapist to constantly re-evaluate and work with you to understand what is the right path forward.

  • This will depend on your particular issue. Many times this is absolutely possible. However, if you are in significant pain or are hesitant to move, we may recommend you wait until your sessions of PT are complete before beginning a Pilates program. We’re happy to discuss your particular issues over the phone so give us a call if you’d like to chat with one of our therapists.

  • Formal PT addresses a current issue you are having that is affecting your daily life. This type of PT is generally short in duration and is focused on a specific area of your body. PT integrated Pilates is designed to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and fitness. Many clients find they enjoy the whole body approach of Pilates and appreciate the expertise of a PT as they return to exercise.
