I am a firm believer in training your body to be strong for not only the life you want to live, but for the life you are currently living.
I’m passionate about using Pilates based movements and resistance training in my practice. Our body requires resistance in order to develop strong bones, muscles, and joints, but it is critical resistance training is performed correctly.
Pilates focuses on engaging different muscular systems within the body to develop connection, stability, and strength. Adding functional movements – like squats, overhead lifts, seated rotations – to our Pilates regimen is essentially “preventative medicine” for the body. As we become stronger in our activities of everyday life, the margin for injury narrows.
