Check out this great article written by Danielle Friedman about the benefits of Pilates. She does a great job of explaining what Pilates is and isn’t (and quotes our very own Carrie A. Lamb, PT!). It’s a form of exercise that is accessible to all and fosters a strong mind-body connection. Additionally, research supports its ability to improve muscle endurance and flexibility, help lessen chronic pain and even help manage anxiety and depression. Pilates can be done on its own but for our active community here in Colorado, it’s an amazing tool to cross-train and focus on core strength, posture, and alignment. These components are often missing and are incredibly effective ways to help us avoid injury.
We particularly love the section titled “Finding the right instructor is crucial.” Our instructors are all comprehensively trained and are ready and willing to adapt to help you reach your goals. We keep our class sizes small to make sure we can give you the attention you need.
