CoreAlign® – A balancing act
February 24, 2022 @ 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm MST
CoreAlign work is unique. It frequently (yet positively) taps into our sub-conscious voice saying “I don’t want to fall!” It challenges our relationship with feeling stable and mobile. It challenges how our upper body talks with our lower body. It causes us to work in ways we often aren’t even aware of.
This 3 hour workshop will dive into current research on proprioception and balance. We’ll then take this knowledge onto the CoreAlign and experience ways to challenge all of the systems that help keep us upright. You’ll leave with lots of new repertoire and variations on original exercises. As an added bonus, all students will have access to a pre-recorded balance class to help put these ideas into practice!
1. Participants will understand the basic systems that make up proprioception and balance.
2. Participants will apply these concepts to upright exercises on the CoreAlign.
3. Participants will understand how to determine the right level of challenge for their clients as well as how to safely build their confidence when it comes to balance.
4. Participants will learn how to quickly screen balance in their clients.
